You can’t manage what you can’t measure. Yet, especially IT projects proceed without knowing what or how to measure meaningfully. This interactive session suggests a set of metrics projects need to enable success and measure effectiveness of our practices. Techniques are suggested for overcoming resistance when getting started. Exercises enhance learning by allowing participants to practice applying practical techniques to realistic examples.
- Relation of measurement to processes and distinguishing REAL from presumed processes
- Ways to analyze and evaluate effectiveness of practices
- Starting a measurement program and overcoming resistance
